Day 3 – Wilson’s Prom

So we’ve been living the high life with an actual bed in an actual apartment in Melbourne for a night with Trundle’s brother and his fiancé, shopping around for a few bits we missed and catching up with mates down here – but we thought we’d escape the big smoke and try out our setup in the great outdoors for the night. Neither of us had been down to Wilson’s Prom so we headed down there today to check out the park and brave the cold windy weather. In typical scrag fashion we hadn’t checked the price of the famous Prom campground (around 500 camp spots!) and it turned out to be too rich for our blood so we trekked back to Yanakie at a rest stop with some friendly horses and a vanful of French tourists and cooked up a whole pumpkin (Thanks Shazza) in some dahl. Wilson’s Prom was spectacular though, but super quiet – it was pretty windy and cold!
